PHLI
The Asosiasi Pembina Hukum Lingkungan Indonesia was established during the First Congress of the Himpunan Pembina Hukum Lingkungan (HPHL) held in Yogyakarta on July 22, 1989. Subsequently, during the Second National Congress of HPHL on May 29, 2013, in Bandung, steps were taken to formalize it as a legal entity. On January 20, 2016, a notarial deed was issued to serve as its legal foundation, and on January 25, 2016, the Menteri Hukum dan HAM RI issued Decree No. AHU-0009163.AH.01.07 of 2016, officially recognizing the establishment of a legal entity named the "Asosiasi Pembina Hukum Lingkungan Indonesia" (PHLI). The organization is headquartered in Bandung and has branches and members across Indonesia.
Objectives:
- To promote and develop environmental law through structured coordination.
- To nurture national environmental law based on Pancasila and Undang-Undang Dasar 1945.
- To expand and deepen knowledge in environmental law.
- To contribute to the protection and management of the environment in accordance with members' expertise and professions.
Activities:
- Organizing education and training programs.
- Conducting research and development.
- Community service initiatives.
- Compiling documentation, publications, and environmental law journals.
- Establishing international cooperation.
