Electronic Filing
1. Purpose and Scope
Jurnal Bina Hukum Lingkungan is committed to preserving the scholarly record so that published articles remain accessible, citable, and unaltered over the long term. This policy describes how the Journal archives its content and what happens if the Journal can no longer maintain it. It applies to all articles, issues, and related notices published by the Journal.
2. Electronic Archiving
All published content is stored electronically on the Journal’s Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform at https://bhl-jurnal.or.id. Each issue is kept in the Archives section, where articles remain freely accessible in accordance with the Open Access Policy.
The Journal keeps the following in its records:
- the final published version of every article, in PDF and, where available, other formats;
- the metadata of every article, including title, authors, affiliations, abstract, keywords, and DOI;
- correction, expression of concern, and retraction notices, linked to the original articles, in accordance with the Corrections and Retractions policy.
3. Permanent Identification
Every article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) (prefix 10.24970), so that it can be located and cited permanently, even if its web address changes. The Journal also keeps its P-ISSN (2541-2353) and E-ISSN (2541-531X) registered.
4. Backup
The Journal’s editorial office makes regular backups of the OJS database, article files, and site configuration, and stores them separately from the main server. Backups are checked periodically to confirm that they can be restored.
5. Third-Party Archiving and Indexing
Copies of the Journal’s metadata, and in some cases full texts, are also held by external indexing services and repositories, as listed on the Journal Indexation page. These services provide additional access points, but they are not a substitute for the Journal’s own archive.
6. Continuity
If the Journal ceases publication or can no longer maintain its website, the publisher, Asosiasi Pembina Hukum Lingkungan Indonesia (PHLI), will make reasonable efforts to ensure that:
- the full archive remains accessible, either on the existing platform or through transfer to another suitable repository or publisher;
- DOIs continue to resolve to the archived articles;
- authors are notified of any change in the location of their articles.
7. Authors’ Self-Archiving
Authors may deposit their articles in institutional repositories or personal websites, subject to the terms of the Copyright Notice and the Open Access Policy. The deposited version must cite the Journal as the original place of publication and include the DOI.
8. Policy Review
The Editorial Board may revise this policy to reflect changes in the Journal’s technology and practices.
